About Us

My name is Gary Carmichael and I am the founder of Trident First Aid. I first began teaching First Aid over 15 years ago and for many years I have been certificating staff members through my previous employer but in 2024 I set up Trident First Aid as a solo venture, I am passionate about teaching and First Aid and I am based in Kent but willing to travel further afield (minimum of 10 delegates). To date I have delivered dozens of First Aid Courses of various levels including free courses I run in Ukraine delivering life saving skills to Ukrainian volunteers, teachers and civilians. I have been personally delivering aid to Ukraine since the start of the full scale war in 2022 and such have experience of working in dangerous environments with a variety of threats and an ever changing security landscape.

Previously I have worked in Children’s Homes and was an Ofsted registered manager and so Children’s Care/Education settings are a specialty of mine meaning I can tailor the courses I deliver to be relevant and bespoke to your setting. I am also a volunteer Community First Responder and so have experience of working alongside the ambulance service in a frontline emergency care role.
